Tuesday the 16th of March, Year Two and Three

We spent the afternoon creating a beautiful masterpiece, all about ourself! This week we are going to spend the week focusing on Harmony Day which is next Saturday, the 21st of March. Harmony Day is a celebration of cultural diversity, and a day of cultural respect for everyone who calls Australia home!

For afternoon tea today we had Chicken & Sausage paella. Due to harmony day this weekend, every dish for afternoon tea is going to be from a new country...we cannot wait to see what yummy food we get to try!!!!

Once our plates were packed away we head down to the floor for an explanation of our activity. Today we traced our hands on paper, and drew anything that makes us who we are or describes our personality. We did this activity to symbolise and show all the children that everyone has different likes and dislikes, but we are all still great friends, and being unique is what makes us, US!

Once all our hands were completed and looked beautiful, we had some free play in the classroom before heading down to the trampoline to jump around until it was time to go home.
